Getting better every day

April 10th, 2009 · No Comments

We’ve been quite busy these last two weeks at urbArAmA releasing some improvements to the site.

The new Project Page

The new Project Page

In first place we released a new project page two weeks ago. We’ve moved the thumbnails pictures to the left so there’s always a big and nice photograph on top of the page. Before, if a project had a lot of pictures you’d need to scroll to see the picture in full. There’s no need for scrolling now. As a side effect the usability of the page has improved too. Images appear again at the bottom of every project and a gallery image pops up if you click on them. We believe it’s important to use images whenever it’s possible.

In second place we released a new search engine last weekend. Clearly, the search engine we were (Google Sites) had very poor results. The new search engine (Sphinx) is much powerful and displays project images along the results. Try it!

Finally, there have been some improvements in the back office. You won’t see them anywhere but you should notice it. urbArAmA is faster now.
We hope you like the changes and we’ll love to hear from you. Any idea? Any must have feature we’re missing?
Happy Eastern!
